Creating new DocTitles in Cirrus

This article explains how to create new DocTitles in Cirrus. Once created, they can be added manually by users to Checklists, or you can add them to Checklist Templates using DocTitle Mapping

  1. Navigate to the Administration tab
  2. Select Checklist Setup > DocTitles
  3. Click "Add Doc Titles"
  4. Fill in the fields on the screen, some of which are required, which is indicated by an asterisk. These are:
    1. Category*
    2. Folder*
    3. Name*
    4. Description (this is external-facing and will be visible to borrowers if a user sends them a Checklist containing this DocTitle. It's a very useful tool to give notes/instructions to borrowers about what a doctitle means, or if you have trouble with a specific document. For example, if you consistently receive images of Drivers Licenses that are blurry or not in color, you could ad a description that says "Please provide a clear copy of your drivers license in color. Black and white copies are not accepted."
    5. TagName is a unique identifier for the DocTitle, that is used to help when we map things in Cirrus, specifically in relation to custom Applications. Contact service@cirrussecure.com for more questions about TagNames
    6. Responsible*
    7. Check Display on Checklist and Sort By Category Label
    8. You can Enforce the File Size by checking the box and putting numbers in the two fields. This will not stop you from getting extra small or large files, but will flag such files.
    9. Enforce File Extension will similarly flag Documents uploaded to DocTitles that are not the expected file format, but will not reject the file.
    10. Document Source is an advanced field that is only used when certain integrations are enabled. For more on integrations, click here.
    11. Expected Format Checklist Document is only used when configuring fillable PDFs. Please ask for more information.
    12. Effective/Expiration date: Find out more here!

Note: You can also CLONE or Save and Add Another to speed up the process of adding doctitles!
