Roles in Cirrus

Roles give Cirrus admins the ability to control what a user can do in Cirrus

Roles provide feature level control for users. You may have BDOs or Underwriters who don't need permission to do everything in Cirrus. For example, a BDO should not have Administrative rights to add other users. You can control this access through Permissions within their Role.

If one user should have the same visibility or access to items in Cirrus as another user on their team, have your Admin check the assigned Role. It is likely the User was set up with the incorrect Role, and this can be easily fixed by reassigning the user's Role.

To set up or Modify Roles:

  1. Navigate to Administration > User Setup > Roles, you can access these permissions.
  2. Click on actions next to a specific role, then click edit. In the pop-out menu you can adjust the name and feature access.

  3. To assign a User a Role or Roles, please see this article.
