How to control which email notifications you receive

Users can manage settings for all checklists, or on a checklist-specific level

      1. To manage on a Cirrus-wide level, navigate to the bell icon in the top right of your screen.
      2. Make a selection on the resulting menu to enable and disable the notifications you get across all checklists.

Enabling notifications on across all checklists can be noisy if you want to only see uploads for the checklists you have interest in.

  1. To manage notifications on a checklist level, navigate to the Checklist you would like to receive notifications for.
  2. Click the bell icon in the top right checklist, and make selections based on what you want to receive notifications for.

Note: We currently do not send emails for Notifications for messages sent via Inbox on a Checklist. Due to the volume of messages that could be sent, Cirrus decided to not enable this type of notification so that our users' inboxes would not be overloaded. However, after the April 2022 release, you should be able to see a count of messages inside your Checklist. If there is a red icon, then a message has been received and is not yet read.

To request an enhancement to the notifications around Messaging, please submit a Feature Request.

Testing Notifications!

Make sure notifications are turned ON by clicking the Bell icon in the top right corner of your screen, and click "Settings" to get to this window:

Send a checklist to a Test Borrower email (not your own work email). Upload a file to the checklist, and click Submit.
You should receive an email to your Cirrus User Email.

Next, navigate to the Notifications settings menu again, and toggle Receive Notifications off. No boxes should be checked in the bottom portion of the screen, including the box highlighted in the screenshot below, which would provide you with an email after a borrower uploads a file and clicks Submit.

Send a checklist to a Test Borrower email (not your own work email). Upload a file to the checklist, and click Submit.
You should NOT receive an email to your Cirrus User Email.
