How do I upload documents to a Checklist: Borrower View

You've been sent a request for Documents. How do you use the Customer Portal to upload files?

Find answers in this three-minute video!

If you're more of a words person than a video person, here are written details:

  1. Log in - and make sure password is correct and has no extra spaces
  2. Read the instructions at the top of the screen
  3. Check your Loan or Request Status on the left side of the screen
  4. Look at the documents you have been asked to upload. Note their statuses and descriptions. Description may be displayed as text under the Line item or under the Information icon. Descriptions include: Open, In-File, Reviewed, Approved, and Exception (there is a problem!)
  5. You may notice a download button next to a line item that has a document in it - this means you can download that file for review, read, to edit, sign, and then upload again once complete.
  6. At the top you also may see a number next to the Attachments tab. The person who sent your document request may have sent you a template or other document for you to review - if there is a number next to that tab, then something is there!
  7. To upload files to the line items, you can drag and drop, or use the upload icon!
  8. Once you're done uploading all the files you need to upload, or are able to upload now, click Submit. This sends a notification to the person who requested documents from you.
  9. Also, you can upload some of the requested documents and then log in again later. This portal does have an expiration date, which was sent to you via email.
  10. If you have a question, you can use the Inbox to send a message to the person who sent you this document request (this may be disabled for some users and response times will vary)
