When files are uploaded to you via a link you sent to your borrower, there are a few places these documents can go. It is important to understand where these files can go to make it easy to locate them after receiving your upload notification.
Assigned: The most common place files can appear is in the Doc Titles. When a customer uploads a file into a specific doc title you will see it in the list of files on the left side of your checklist page. You can also pay attention to the number indicators at the top of each folder to see if anything is new.
Unassigned: The other place files can be uploaded to is the portal. These are files uploaded into the “Add More” section of the checklist link, and then are placed into the portal, as they weren’t uploaded into a specific doc title. The portal is shown as a folder icon in the vertical list of tabs. Click that icon to find your documents and then you can review them, then drag and drop them to match into a specific doc title.
If you are unsure where files were uploaded, look at the email notification you received. When a file is uploaded to a doc title, it will show in the email as “Document uploaded to Doc Title”. An unassigned portal upload will simply show the file was uploaded.
